Use your own LLM account
TL;DR
Subscribe with the "Use my LLM account" option to connect your own LLM provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google…) and get 50% off your plan. AI usage is then billed directly by your provider instead of consuming Upstart AI credits.
How it works
When choosing a plan on the Pricing page, toggle Use my LLM account. Plans that support this option are shown with a -50% discount.
With this option active:
- Upsie uses your LLM provider account and API key for all AI interactions.
- Your AI usage is billed directly by your provider — Upstart AI credits are disabled.
- AI image generation from the asset library is not available.
Configuring your provider
Configure your provider from Profile and Settings → LLM provider:
Choose a provider and model
Supported providers: Anthropic, OpenAI, Mistral, AWS Bedrock, Google AI Studio, Google Vertex AI and OpenRouter. For each provider, pick a model from the curated list — the recommended one is marked.
Enter your credentials
Paste your provider API key. AWS Bedrock also requires a region; Google Vertex AI requires a GCP project ID, a location and a service account JSON instead of an API key.
Test and save
Use Test connection to verify your setup, then Save. You can update the model or key, or remove the configuration, at any time.
AI features are disabled until a provider API key is configured — set up your LLM provider right after subscribing.
